The Japanese Cultural Society of Maui invites you to join us to make a Mini-Kokedama, just in time to celebrate Spring and Mother's Day! Space is very limited, so please sign up quickly!
Kokedama is a Japanese technique of flower arrangement which uses moss, soil, and string to wrap and display plants.
Rates:
$25 - JCSM and Wailuku Shingon Mission members
$35 - non-Members (registration opens May 3rd)
Satomi Cox
Guest Instructor
Satomi Cox is from Iwate Prefecture in Japan. She is a student of the Ryusei-ha form of traditional Ikebana as well as modern Japanese flower arrangement styles. Satomi is a certified floral designer with the Japan Institute of Floral Design (JIFD). Satomi’s unique arrangement style integrates techniques from traditional and modern Japanese Ikebana and Hawaiian lei making.
